The greatest of the Swabian Alps

A special piece of homeland
Heuberg and the Region of the 10 Thousanders

Heuberg is known throughout Germany as a cluster of the machining industry and homeland of world-renown companies in the electrical industry and machine-building field. The cycling and walking tours of the Alp escarpment and on the plateau of the Alps feature spectacular landscapes and invite you to relax. Whether you're sporty or take the unhurried approach, the "Region of the 10 Thousanders" offers a unique natural space with countless highlights you can explore during your stay at Schlossberg Wehingen.

Heuberg on film

"Der Heuberg: Höchst l(i)ebenswert." (Heuberg: Live it and love it!) This is the title of a 10-minute video on the special features of our homeland. It focuses on the area's scenic charms, the breathtaking development of Armenhaus into one of the most economically powerful regions in Germany and a spot on Earth worth living and loving today, with its impressive infrastructure and leisure value.

Excursion tips: You've got to experience this

We've put together a small selection of highlights which you can conveniently explore on foot, by bicycle or after a short drive from Hotel Schlossberg Wehingen.

Lemberg

At 1,015 metres above sea level, Lemberg is truly "the biggest" – at least when it comes to the Swabian Alps. The highest peak in the "Region of the 10 Thousanders" is formally crowned by Lemberg Tower and offers breathtaking vistas. Nearly the entire alpine chain is visible in fair weather – From Lemberg Tower, it's even possible to spot Mont Blanc, which lies over 200 kilometres away.
